However we have been very disappointed by the Lamai Buri hotel. The benefits were not the height. We were all the same in a Deluxe Poolside room... But the cleanliness was unsatisfactory. A Roach stayed 3 days in the toilet. The head of bed was all stained. Bedside tables lamps did not work, it must be said that the electric wires were defective, scotchés or altogether not connected. We needed to claim the towels, there also was a bit of randomness. We had a reservation of taxi for the home to our arrival but nothing has been noted and we have of cope us alone. Autres commentaires sur cet hôtel: This is a fine hotel. We lived in the romantic suite and the rooms are large and nice. Perfect fot our family of 2 adults and 2 small children. The staff in general are nice. The bartender att the pool and the breakfast staff especially. The receptionstaff however is far from great. They are indifferent and unattentive. The place is located nerby the lamai main street and the staff is very friendly. The prices on food is ok.

The breakfast was perfect and specialy the people who served the breakfast were very kind, friendly and helpful. The only point was our payment. We paid money before we came by visa. That was oke. At arrival we had to pay the rest. We filled up the form and gave our passports to the receptionist(manager). They made a copy. The rules in the hotel is to pay the rest from the amount by arrival. So we paid the rest and then we got the key from the room. We didnot ask for a receipt or we didnot get a receipt from our payment.When we left our hotel(last day) we were called by phone by the reception. They told us we have to pay the rest. We were really confused and surprised and shocked. Waiting and talking a long time. We asked the manager to see the video so they could see we have paid the full amount. Oke waiting... waiting.... The receptionist called the manager who should view the video, but before he told us: Only the owner can see the video >>>!!! The manager came back and told us: I can see the video because the system is new and I don t know how to handle it! We have a long discussion about this, because we are honest and we don t like this. Then (he was the man who received the money) he told us, maybe its my fault and I am wrong, sorry etc and sorry again. We could not sleep before departure from this black page in our vacation. Its was terrible. Bad administration. Only our fault was not to ask a receipt. But how can we have the key from the room as it is only possible to pay the rest by arrival? Next time we will make our own video from our payment. I hope the owner will read this also and not only the manager and the receptionist because they have to learn about this. We asked to talk with the owner but that was not possible.There was no wake-up service.We surely will come back to Koh |Samui and also to Lamai Buri because we enjoyed very much this place. Stayed for 2 weeks in a 2 bedrom house and liked it a lot. The staff is friendly and helpful and you feel very welcome. The rooms are clean and good value for money. The resort is on the upper side of the main street and it is a 3 min walk to the beach but on the upside it s very quiet. Our kids (9 and 7 years) loved it. The pool is good for kids. The restaurant is good and the breakfast is really good. Summary: A good hotel for family and thoose looking for a quiet, nice place to stay during there holiday. The room was nice and had a lovely sea view. There are quite many stairs that might be a trouble for some people.The cleaning was a bit poor and we also lacked shower cream now and then. Very nice pool area. Good food in the restaurant, but the breakfast was rather poor.

Autres commentaires sur cet hôtel: It is NOT advised to stay at this hotel. I booked 2 Superior Garden View Rooms and when I arrived we were made to pay in advance before seeing the rooms. However these Garden View rooms overlooked a busy mainroad and the hotel s car park with a karaoke bar on one side and loud disco music on the other. The receptionist Ms. Poo was EXTREMELY rude and higlighted the fact that no deposit would be offered. Once she got our money, she refused to help and was very un-coperative.
